By accessing or using LendChat, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
LendChat is a broker-client platform that connects members of the public directly with qualified Australian mortgage brokers via live chat. We are not a lender, a bank, or a financial adviser. We do not process loan applications or make credit decisions.
When you start a conversation on LendChat, our AI-powered assistant will respond first to gather context about your situation so the broker is prepared when they join. Any responses from the AI assistant are informational only and do not constitute credit advice or a formal credit assessment. A licensed human broker will always be responsible for any guidance provided to you.
Brokers on LendChat hold a valid Australian Credit Licence (ACL) or operate as a credit representative under an ACL. They are regulated under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act and are subject to Best Interests Duty obligations. LendChat does not employ the brokers – they are independent licence holders who use the platform to connect with prospective clients.
Any information or guidance provided through a LendChat chat conversation is general in nature. It does not constitute formal credit advice, a credit assessment, or a loan approval. All figures discussed – including borrowing capacity, indicative rates, and repayment estimates – are subject to formal lender assessment and approval, and may change based on your individual circumstances.
If you choose to proceed with a broker, they may invite you to a secure client portal within LendChat. The portal allows you to continue your conversation with the broker and track the progress of your enquiry. The broker uses this information to prepare your loan application, which is then lodged through their own accredited lodgement tools – not through LendChat. Access to the client portal is by broker invitation only.
Using LendChat does not obligate you to apply for a loan, engage a broker further, or take any action. You are free to ask questions and end the conversation at any time. If you choose to proceed with a loan application, that relationship is between you and the broker directly.
To connect you with a broker, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your chat messages. This information is shared with the broker assigned to your conversation. We do not sell or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
To the extent permitted by law, LendChat is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on information provided through the platform, decisions made on the basis of broker conversations, or outcomes of any loan application. LendChat is a broker-client platform – responsibility for advice provided rests with the individual broker.
